Fine Art Prints from Your Original Artwork

Image Setup and Proofing consists of a high-end RGB scan from your artwork that we custom color match to your original. In order to print the correct color, every image must go through the setup and proofing process in which the RGB scan is adjusted to match the CMYK printout. During this process we make the adjustments to hue, tone and color. Setup includes this color correction, as well as some image retouching for dust and defect removal. If excessive image manipulation is required, an additional charge will apply. This usually takes 5-7 business days.

Fine Art Prints from Your Digital Files

Image Setup and Proofing of your digital files can be done in one of four ways:

1. Color match and proof to an original, or other printed material such as a photograph or printout from your home inkjet printer. This allows us the best color control so that we can emulate your home monitor and computer setup.

2. Color match and proof to match our screen. We will view your digital file and make subtle adjustments while you are here. Your proof will match the screen.

3. No color matching, print AS IS with no color adjustments. A proof is made to review and you can upgrade setup if you are unhappy with the quality.

4. No proof. Print direct, with no color or file size adjustments. We will not keep a proof for reorders, so the reprints may not match the original print.

Turnaround and Schedule: All reasonable effort is made to meet the client's delivery schedule, however, delivery times are estimates. Generally a standard delivery time of 5 to 7 working days is provided; large jobs may require additional time. For large quantity orders or reprints, your job may take longer depending on the printer's schedule. For canvas jobs, add two days to allow for the application of UV coating and drying time.

In no event will Artists Proof be responsible for any loss or expense (consequential or otherwise) incurred by the client if Artists Proof is unable to meet the requested delivery schedule.

Full Payment must be received upon the completion of print job. A 50% deposit is required at the start of any job. If work is to be shipped, additional charges will be applied.

If a job requires rush services the following surcharges will be applied: same day 200%, 1 day 100%, 2 days 50%.

Limit of Liability

All materials (film, photos, digital files, and original works) must be insured by the artist or artist's agent while at the studio or during shipping.

Artists Proof retains all proofs and one full size printer's proof from all editions printed at the studio at no cost to the client. Proofs are archived to be used as reference for future print jobs. You may purchase an additional proof for your records.

There will be a nominal re-color matching fee if a customer re-orders a print after a year's time from the original order. This is due to upgrades in paper coatings and ink gamut. While Artists Proof will do everything possible to maintain a consistent color with reorders, sometimes a slight shift in tone may occur due to such upgrades.

All digital files are kept on our in-house server, but we strongly recommend customers purchase a CD archive of their files in case an unforeseen happenings on our premises. Artists Proof cannot be held responsible for lost master files.
